Reserva Especial Craft Coffee 12 oz.
Reserva Especial Craft Coffee 12 oz.
Product Description:
Our Reserva Especial coffee is a medium roast, is incredibly fruity and sweet!! This Chiapas single-origin coffee has a well balanced aroma, flavor, and body with hints of dark chocolate, the sweetness of berries and caramels, and butter brought out by the roast. However, it has a smooth acidity characteristic of the high-grown coffees called "Altura" (high altitude). These coffees are cultivated 1,300+ meters above sea level and their cherries tend to be harder than the coffees cultivated in lower altitudes.
The Coffees from Chiapas State are grown in the mountains of the southeastern-most corner of Mexico and are known for their high quality, marvelous aroma, and peculiar chocolatey and nutty taste with marked acidity from fruit flavor notes (which should not be confused with stomach upsetting acidity). Each cherry is hand-picked and ALL coffees in Mexico are traditionally grown, meaning that the coffee plants are grown under the shade trees simulating a cultivated forest! no machinery, equipment, or human harming chemicals are used.
- being shade grown in volcanic soil and,
- under cloud cover using only organic composts of leaves, coffee parchment, and fruit.
